What Is a Mutualist Circle?

A small group of people in a community who know each other, trust each other, and have decided to start talking about the issues that affect their lives. Sitting down together, face to face, and deciding what matters.

How Do You Start One?

You need people and a kitchen table. Invite people you trust — not people who agree with you on everything, people you trust. Start with one question: what are the three biggest issues facing our community right now?

What Do Circles Do?

Circles identify governance issues. They use fact sheets and working papers to research them. They develop specific proposals — bylaw amendments, policy changes, letters to council. And they bring those proposals to the people who can act on them.

A Circle is not a protest group. It is not a political party. It is the oldest form of governance on this continent: people who know each other, making decisions together.
